Pokhara Street Festivals lakeside

The 14th Pokhara Street Festival is going to be organised from December 28- January 1 in Pokhara to mark the English New Year 2013. Celebrating New Year’s Eve at Lakeside has been a classic way to welcome the new year in Pokhara.  Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN), is the organizer of the event. The Restaurant and Bar Association (Reban) Pokhara, in a bid to make the New Year celebration a grand occasion, has given continuity to its trademark street festival 13 times in a row. The coming is 14th. The festival will be organised from Fishtail Gate to Lakeside, Gaurighat, Barahi Chowk, Democracy Chok, and Patan Lakeside in Pokhara. The theme of event  is "Eat on Street, Dance on Street and Enjoy on Street" .  Organisers are expecting 600,000 people at the festival. Last year , there were a similar number of visitor. The festival will have around 150 stalls and restaurants will set up eateries on the road. During  festivals, there will be dance shows of various culture, tourist marathon, and musical concert by national and other artists.
